Edit Homepage Slides

  1. Click on Slider Revolution in the black side admin bar.
  2. Because of the refined controls within this plugin you must create a duplicate of the existing slider so you can go back to it at any time if something goes awry. Hover over the slider that is in use on the homepage, click the white arrow, and click duplicate from the drop down. You can confirm which slider is in use by going to Pages, click on Home. Next to the block name (slider revolution) is the module/slider is use.
  3. In the Slider Revolution area, hover over the slider you want to edit and click the pencil icon.
  4. To change an image:
    1. The images are on the top layer called Slide BG Animation. Click that layer.
    2. In the right side, click the second icon from the right (looks like layered squares).
    3. Click on the Media Library button. The Media Library will open. Select or upload your image. These images should have a 1600px width, 50-70% JPG compression. Click the blue insert button lower right corner.
    4. Confirm the image settings in the right side is still set to “Cover”
    5. You can change the center of the image using the Position controls. To be very specific about the center, click the box next to “X% Y%” and add your percentages. If you do this, you must preview the slide in all four screens to confirm it’s as you expect/want.
  5. To change copy:
    1. click on the layer containing the copy. Each block of copy is its own layer. The selected layer will have a dotted border around it.
    2. On the right column, is the content box. If you don’t see it, click the last button in the upper right corner (Editor view) then the content button in the top panel.
    3. You should see the current copy in the middle panel – change to your new copy.
  6. To change the link on the arrow button:
    1. Click the arrow button on the screen.
    2. On the right column, make sure you’re in Editor view. If you don’t see the content, styles, animations, actions, etc buttons, click the last button in the upper right corner (Editor view) then the actions button in the top panel.
    3. In the pop up box click the simple link box on the left. Change to your new URL on the right in the “link URL” box.
    4. Click the white “X” in the upper right corner of the pop up box.
  7. Click the blue Save button lower right.
  8. To return to the admin dashboard click the Back link upper left corner.
